Nigel Taylor MAAT

Accounts Manager 

Nigel is originally from Preston, having spent 12 years working for NatWest Corporate Banking in the City of London, he returned to Lancashire in 1990 where he again worked for NatWest as Branch Manager at the Lytham and Poulton branches.

Nigel joined the practice in 2003 and gained his MAAT accountancy qualification in 2007.

Sue Townley

Admin at Oakhill - Goosnargh

Sue joined the practice in October 2010.

Before joining Oakhill, Sue spent her time working with race horses in the North West.

In her spare time Sue enjoys taking her Springer Spaniel 'Al' for long walks in the countryside

Alison Copley

Admin at Oakhill - Kirkham and Conway Drive

Alison has worked at Abbey Vets since 2004. She now works between our Abbey and Oakhill, Kirkham branches and is in charge of all our small animal centre admin including our pet health plan.

Alison lives locally with her family and her boxer dog 'Betsy'.

Lynne Ward

Receptionist at Oakhill - Conway Drive

Lynne has been married for 35 years and has two sons, two granddaughters and three grandsons. If that doesn't keep her busy enough she also has 3 cats, Sully and Lily who are British Shorthair indoor cats and Ant a ginger domestic shorthair who loves to go out hunting!

Lynne has worked at Conway Drive as a receptionist for over 20 years and has loved working with clients and pets alike. She lives in Fulwood so quite often is found chatting with clients and their pets outside of the work environment too.

Karen Kelly

Receptionist at Oakhill - Conway Drive

Karen has worked for us since 2005 and is married with two teenage sons. She has a dog called ‘Polly’ who she rescued and nursed back to health, a rabbit called ‘Albert’ and a tortoise called ‘Speedy’.

Deborah Pratt

Receptionist at Oakhill - Watling Street Road

Deborah has worked on reception at the Watling Street Road branch since 2003, with additional duties in theatre. She is the fun loving owner of a Glen of Imaal Terrier called ‘Molly’, who has a tendency to be hyperactive.  The Glen of Imaal breed originated from county Wicklow in Southern Ireland.

Angela Perry Mercer

Receptionist at Oakhill - Kirkham

Angela has worked for us as a receptionist since 2005. She is married and has two daughters, a step-daughter and a step-son. She has several animals including her Rottweiler ‘Tia’, a horse ‘Comannchi’, 2 rabbits 'Princess' and 'Pirate', and a fish. Her husband says ‘No more pets!’

Helen Dutton

Receptionist at Oakhill - Watling Street Road

Helen joined us nearly 5 years. She enjoys her job and spends much of her spare time with her various animals.

Michaela Waring

Receptionist at Oakhill - Kirkham

Michaela joined Oakhill in 2010 for twelve months, then spent a year living in Greece. Michaela returned to Oakhill in Nov 2012.

Michaela lives locally with her boyfriend and they have 2 dogs, Jess and Pickle and a tortoise called Blodwyn.

Beverley Hall

Receptionist at Oakhill - Kirkham and Conway Drive

Beverley joined us in October 2007. She has a teenage daughter, two cats called Malcolm and Jenny and a cocker spaniel called Poppy. She works full time during the day as a laboratory technician at a local high school and with us in the evenings.

Anne Walne

Receptionist at Oakhill - Conway Drive and Watling Street Rd

Anne joined our small animal teams at Abbey Conway Drive and Watling Street Road in January 2011, following the sad closure of Raggamuffins kennels and cattery where she had worked since 2005.

Anne has owned and cared for a variety of animals over the years and her spare time is taken up looking after her pets, currently cats, rabbits, fish and a fancy dove. 

Carolyn Orme

Carolyn joined Oakhill in March 2009

Nicola Welsh

Receptionsit at Oakhill - Watling Street Road

Nicola joined the practice in January 2014

Nicola has two teenage children,  Abby and Ben and two young Bernese Mountain Dogs named Ivan and Molly. 

Over the past 17 years she assisted her husband with the running of their agricultural based business.  Nicola now enjoys going home to the Wirral for holidays in the family caravan and catching up with her family.

Janet Redmond

Receptionist at Oakhill - Conway Drive, WSR & Kirkham

Janet joined Oakhill in June 2004. Jan originally worked at the Goosnargh practice up until 2013 and now works in the various small animal surgeries.

Janet lives in Whittingham with her husband and border terrier - Boots

Debra Hart

Receptionist at Oakhill - Goosnargh

Debra joined the practice in August 2009.

Debra lives in Longton with her two daughters, dog, rabbit and 2 hamsters. In her spare time she loves walking the dog and spending time with her children.

Jane Dew

Receptionist at Oakhill - Goosnargh

Jane is originally from Liverpool and has lived in Preston since 1988, joining the practice in 2002.

Jane is married with a daughter and a son. Her hobbies include riding her horse, dog walking and watching rugby. She enjoys weekends in the Lake District.

Chloe Cheetham

Receptionist at Oakhill - Goosnargh

Chloe joined the practice in 2003 after spending 8 years working as a veterinary nurse in a practice in East Lancashire.

Chloe is an experienced showjumper and dressage rider, and competes in many regional events.
