20m x 40m 'Waxtrack' premium surface equine outdoor arena
Our custom built exercise arena, allowing ridden assessment, provides optimum facilities for Oakhill's Oakhill's Rosie Owen and Guy Hinnigan, European recognised specialists, to carry out a wide range of investigations such as lameness and poor performance.
Many orthopaedic problems in horses are only visible under saddle or on a soft surface, therefore this arena is a vital addition to the existing advanced lameness diagnostic facilities, along side trot up and lunge areas, a fully equipped surgical suite, inpatient facilities and advanced dentistry equipment at Oakhill.
The all weather arena, installed by Burnley based experts, Equestrian Surfaces, has a high performance Waxtrack surface, allowing horses to have a consistent, secure footing which is perfect for Oakhill's needs.

To add to this outstanding arena, the very latest, low field standing MRI system, manufactured by Hallmarq, will arrive on site at Oakhill, in November - one of only a handful in the country.
